Skywatch Friday - Stone pillar in Ellora

Ellora floors you. The UNESCO World heritage site is just unbelievable. You will wonder how anyone could have done such a thing. Complete temple carved out of a mammoth manolith!

Kailasanatha Temple is the pinnacle of Rashtrakuta style of architecture and took 100 years to complete it! The carved stone pillars are epitome of such refinement.

This picture was taken in the morning when the sky was clear which provided a good contrast to grey surroundings.
